Individual Therapy

Individual therapy offers a confidential space to explore emotional, relational, and psychological difficulties.

Many of my clients seek therapy when they feel stuck in recurring emotional patterns or when past experiences continue to influence their present relationships and well-being.

Individual therapy may be helpful for people experiencing

  • Depression and mood difficulties
  • Anxiety disorders
  • Stress, burnout, and adjustment difficulties
  • Trauma and post-traumatic stress symptoms
  • Relationship and attachment difficulties
  • Fear of abandonment or emotional withdrawal in relationships
  • Low self-esteem or persistent self-criticism
  • Grief, loss, and major life transitions
  • Identity questions or cross-cultural challenges often experienced by expats

An Attachment and Systemic Perspective

From an attachment and systemic perspective, psychological difficulties rarely develop in isolation. They often emerge within the context of relationships and life experiences. Early attachment experiences and family environments can shape how we regulate emotions, respond to stress, and connect with others. In adulthood, these patterns may appear as difficulty trusting others, fear of rejection or abandonment, emotional withdrawal or avoidance, repeating relationship conflicts, or feeling disconnected from others.

Therapy provides a space to explore these patterns with curiosity and care. By increasing awareness of emotional responses and relational dynamics, clients can begin to develop more secure and flexible ways of relating to themselves and others. What you may gain from therapy

Clients often seek therapy not only to reduce symptoms but also to develop a deeper understanding of themselves. Through the therapeutic process, you may better understand emotional and relational patterns, develop healthier ways of coping with anxiety, stress, or low mood; strengthen self-awareness and self-compassion; improve communication and relational boundaries; and develop a more secure and stable sense of self in relationships. The pace and focus of therapy are adapted to your individual needs and goals.
